MAINTENANCE
RESIN PRODUCTS
Resin is not dishwasher safe and must be washed by hand in warm water.
After washing, resin may appear matte. Use a drop of cooking oil to rub in and restore the shine. Resin is quite strong and durable but is not shockproof and can break if dropped or hit against a hard surface. Resin is not fireproof and should not be used in an oven, microwave, or as candle holders or ashtrays.
LINEN TABLE LINEN
Wash at a maximum of 30°C. Use the hand wash program or stick to a low spin cycle. Our linen table linen is a handcrafted product made from unique linen yarns. Variations and imperfections in the fabric and fringes are normal and to be expected. Lint may occur during the first washes and will decrease after 3-4 washes. Use the hand wash or delicate wash program and let it dry on the line only.
KILIM CUSHIONS AND RUGS
Wool contains lanolin, a natural fat that makes the fabric less prone to dirt. Therefore, our kilim rugs require minimal care, but the right kind. For general maintenance, it is sufficient to vacuum the rug thoroughly. For odors, a cleaning with vinegar or Dreft foam helps.
Did you make a stain on the rug? No panic: with a damp cloth and a bit of vinegar, the problem is often solved. We advise against using too much water or scrubbing too hard to prevent damage to colors or fibers.
For treating specific stains, we have the following care tips:
• Red Wine Stain
Mix one tablespoon of dish soap and one tablespoon of vinegar with two cups of lukewarm water and dab gently on the stain.
• White Wine Stain
This type of stain is less visible, but treatment with sparkling water or vinegar is important to prevent color changes.
• Coffee Stain
Cold water on the stain ensures that the coffee penetrates deeper into the fibers and thus becomes less visible.
• Vomit and Pet Excrement
Remove the vomit or excrement with kitchen paper. Dab the stain with cold water and then with white vinegar. Is the odor still not gone? Spraying with air freshener or textile perfume does no harm.
• Fruit Juice Stain
Pour over with sparkling water and cover with a dry tea towel until absorbed.
• Grease Stain
Place a piece of kraft paper (e.g., paper fruit bag) on the stain and iron over it. Note: Grease stains are rarely completely removed.
